Call for Tutorial Proposals
If you are interested in learning how to create intelligent environments that can interact with users and enrich their activities, then you should join the IE2026 tutorials on intelligent environments. These tutorials will provide you with an overview of the main concepts, challenges, and opportunities in this multidisciplinary field. You will learn about state-of-the-art research and applications in areas such as sensors and actuators, the Internet of Things, signal processing (incl. audio and images), context awareness, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, software engineering, and pervasive and ubiquitous computing. You will also have the chance to interact with experts and peers and to get hands-on experience with some of the tools and platforms for developing intelligent environments.
All tutorials can be attended in person at the conference site or remotely. Each tutorial will be one and half hours long, and will be given by a maximum of 3 presenters.
Tutorial proposals should answer the following questions:
– Title: A clear and descriptive title for your proposed tutorial.
– Objectives and Motivation: What are the goals of the tutorial? Why is this topic timely and important for inclusion in the Tutorial portion of the conference?
– Tutorial Description and Content Outline: What will the tutorial cover?
Provide a concise description of the subject area and key references or sources.
– Target Audience: Who do you expect to attend? Describe the intended audience, expected number of participants, and the technical or professional background they should have. You may also indicate whether the tutorial is introductory, intermediate, or advanced.
– Presenters: List the name(s), email address(es), and brief biography (max 150 words each) of all presenters. Please outline each presenter’s relevant expertise in the subject area, and if applicable, any prior experience giving tutorials, workshops, or teaching (including summer schools or conference tutorials). You are welcome to include links to presentation materials, previous talks, or recorded videos on similar topics.
Note:
-Tutorials are expected to be presented in person unless otherwise agreed. While we do not cover travel costs, presenters receive free access to the Workshop/Tutorial portion of the event.
– Please also indicate any logistical needs (e.g., A/V requirements, whiteboards, breakout space for group work, technical IT support, …) that may need to be arranged in advance.
Tutorial proposals should be submitted by September 10th 2025. Please submit a PDF of at most 5 pages including reference. Acceptance and rejection decisions will be announced by September 17th 2025.
